Thoughts and prayers requested for Brook Duncan.

Recently, one of our members in the Junior High Rodeo Association, Brook Duncan, experienced chest pain, became light headed, dizzy, and blacked out. She spent a few days in the hospital due to high blood pressure. and is now seeing a cardiologist and neurologist. They have found a hole in her heart and are doing more tests to determine what action to take.

Brook has had an EKG (twice) and an echo gram. She has had lots of blood test done and waiting for the results on those. She had an EEG test done and it shows that she is having seizures. She started meds for that on1/31/08. She will be going into the hospital for a 72 hour monitor of an EEG in the next few weeks. She will also be getting an MRI test in the next 2 weeks. They will be sedating her for the MRI and with having seizures it is a higher risk so they are monitoring her blood test closely until then.

Brook has missed 3 weeks of school. She is not allowed to do anything, ride bike, swim, not much of anything but the saddest one of them all is she will not be able to ride or compete in rodeos. The neurologist is saying possibly 6 months. Brook is having a very difficult time with the news of not being able to ride. It is very devastating to her. I am glad we have a 4 month old colt and a mare in foal due anytime. She can work with the foals to help by pass some time, and still get to be around the horses. She will continue to do what she can with them all and I am sure push her limits.

Thank you so much
Pamela, Bruno, Brandan and Brook Duncan
